I have four of these individual bakers (and could use more) and love them for freezing smaller portions, e.g. for Once-A-Month-Cooking. I like to make a big batch of something (pasta or rice casserole, enchiladas, lasagna), portion some into a larger dish for dinner that day/leftovers and portion some into these individual baker for freezing. I find these "individual" bakers to hold a fairly generous portion, enough for two reasonably-sized main portions, if supplemented with a salad or vegetable side dish. These bakers would also be great for a fruit crisp or cobbler, either for baking today or freezing for later.
I have collected a lot of Emile Henry bakeware over the last few years since I have been very impressed with the performance. The Emile Henry clay/ceramic heats evenly in the oven and all food (main dishes, veggies, desserts) just seems to cook better and taste better compared to my other glass or metal pans. The finish is durable, with no worries about scratching when cutting with a knife and cleans up easily. They are fairly heavy.

This set of petite 8-1/2-by-5-1/2-inch bakers is perfect for making individual portions of lasagna, potatoes au gratin, or roasted fennel. The dishes are made from local clay in Burgundy, France, using a pottery tradition that has been alive since 1850. The clay is an excellent material for retaining heat, so lasagna keeps its warmth in these dishes as you gather your guests to the table. The dishes have cream-colored interiors and painted exteriors that are covered with a translucent glaze, creating a rustic-looking finish. The glaze is lead-free and won't crack, discolor, or scratch. These bowls go safely into the freezer, oven, microwave, dishwasher, and under the broiler, and are very easy to clean.
