I love Emile Henry and these little pie plates are great, they are just too cute. Oh - and kids love them... They really look great on the table, it is worth making individual servings. You can use it daily and it will always look like new, it is very durable. It is just a pleasure to have in the kitchen, I can not say anything bad about it. I give Emile Henry to both of my sons and they love it as well.

Ideal for baking individual servings of pies, tarts, or pot pies, these two 5-1/2-inch dishes are a traditional French shape, with wide, wavy rims for crimping crust and smooth exteriors that make them welcome in contemporary kitchens. In addition to pies, the dishes other uses include baking small portions of cobbler or macaroni and cheese and serving dips, sauces, nuts, and candies. They can go directly from freezer to oven, into the microwave, under the broiler, and through the dishwasher without harming their glossy, lead-free glaze, which does not absorb odors or moisture and is so hard it will not crack, discolor, or scratch--even if food is cut on it. They measure 1-1/2 inches deep.Since 1850, Emile Henry cookware and bakeware have been made in Burgundy, where a unique clay is kiln-fired into a ceramic unsurpassed for conducting and retaining heat.
